The people behind the magic

I started my travel business in June 2023, and it’s honestly been such a journey—one that’s helped me grow not just professionally, but personally too. My mindset has shifted so much, and I’ve learnt just how powerful consistency and support can be. The support in this business is amazing. There’s always someone to cheer you on, offer guidance, or just be there when you need it—and that’s made all the difference for me. I now have a successful travel business that I’m proud of. But what I’ve found I truly love is mentoring others. Being part of someone else’s journey, watching them grow in confidence and shift the way they think about what’s possible—it’s such a privilege. I never imagined how much this would change my life, and now I just want to help others see what’s possible for them too.

I started my travel business in September 2018 alongside my full-time job, looking to earn a little extra while doing something I loved. I never imagined how much it would grow — from earning on my own holidays to helping clients create unforgettable memories and supporting others to succeed too. I’ve gained confidence, financial stability, and most importantly, I’ve rediscovered myself — not just as a wife or mum, but as a businesswoman. If any of this sounds like you, take a look — there’s nothing to lose and so much to gain.

I started my travel business in March 2022, before then I had a long career in senior sales and marketing roles. While I gained a lot from the corporate world, I always knew I wanted something more personal, more fulfilling and that’s what led me to launch this venture.I’m a wife and proud mum to two amazing young adults, and starting this business gave me the flexibility to be present for my family while building something of my own. It’s helped me grow in confidence, push past comfort zones, and rediscover myself and my passion. Now, one of the most rewarding parts of what I do is helping and mentoring others to do the same, turning a love for travel into something truly life changing.

I started my travel business in February 2023. Before that, I lived and worked in London in the tech industry, including roles at IBM and Alan Sugar’s companies, Viglen and Amstrad. I even traveled to the U.S. to install computer systems. Later, I moved to Exmouth to be with my partner and raise my two children, now young adults. Wanting more flexibility as a mum, I became an Ofsted-registered childminder, a role I held for many years. However, my passion for travel never faded. A friend introduced me to this business, pointing out I could earn commission on the three holidays I already took each year—and that sparked everything. Since joining, I’ve grown a successful business where people book their holidays through me, and I earn commission. I’ve also built an amazing team of like-minded people who’ve become close friends. Now, I help others find the same lifestyle and financial freedom that I’ve found. It’s honestly the best thing I’ve ever done. My advice? Just go for it. You never know where it could take you.

I'm a mum of 2. I used to work for a high street travel agency but wanted the freedom to work from home.
I started my travel business September 2024 and my favourite part is turning a customer’s wish list into their dream holiday, and using the photos to take them through their perfect break, My not so favourite part is learning about social media and promoting myself but I am getting better and it is empowering me to feel more confident personally and professionally.
The 4 of us have always looked forward to our family summer holiday and I used to spend hours scouring to find our perfect choice. Then I started to help friends turn their dreams in to reality before working for a travel agent. It now seems the natural next step to open my business to work with others to find their ideal break.
I feel very supported being part of this travel community – no question is left unanswered. Elite Travel Circle always gets back to me quickly with any help I need.
The best piece of advice I can offer is do your initial training, learn about the suppliers you are keen to work with and go for it! What have you got to lose?!

I run my travel business alongside my full-time role at the largest security provider in the UK, I run my own travel business fueled by my passion for travel. I started this business because friends and family often ask me for the best deals and advice on where and when to travel. The most rewarding part of running my own business is helping customers find their dream holiday destinations and then hearing their wonderful reviews afterwards.
This venture has pushed me beyond my usual professional boundaries, encouraging me to truly listen to and understand people's individual needs and requirements. Whether it’s a honeymoon or an adventure holiday, every booking is a learning opportunity for me. The best part? I get paid for doing what I love, which in turn funds my own travels.
My top piece of advice is to thoroughly qualify your customers to understand their exact needs. For anyone starting out, remember you won’t win every quote—whether due to price, personal reasons, or changes in circumstances—but don’t give up. Always ensure you qualify the lead properly and ask for help when needed. I’m fortunate to be part of a fantastic team with collective experience of travelling to almost every country in the world, ready to support you at time.

Married with 2 sons 26 and 21. I have been a chef for 35+ years.  I’ve run a B&B for 18 years, however we needed a change and purchased a cafe which we ran for 6 wonderful years until in 2024 a new Landlord  increased the rent way beyond our means and we had to walk away, we were devastated.
I started the Travel business in 2023 as I felt like I just needed to do something more for myself and travel is something I love and hope to be able to travel even more. I had planned to run this alongside the cafe, but when we had to walk away from the cafe it affected me mentally more than I thought it would so I took a step back from the travel business.
Relaunching my travel business in Early 2025 has made me step outside my comfort zone pushing myself with the help and advice that is available. I attended a Dream Maker on my own and always learning more is just great.
But travel is something I love and being able to book holidays for people and helping them to travel is just so rewarding and now I have joined the marketing side of the business, I am looking forward to helping other people join the business and do something that they love too.
If anyone is thinking about joining,  I would say just go for it, I spent a long time thinking about it and wish I had done it sooner..

Being a mum to my son will always be my greatest role. He’s the reason behind so much of what I do, and the person who inspires me daily to lead by example.

After spending my entire working life in demanding roles—most recently as a business mentor—I found myself at a crossroads a couple of years ago. Life gave me a choice: to continue pushing forward in a high-pressure environment, or to pause and care for the person who had always cared for me—my elderly mum. I chose the latter, and I’ll never regret it. Those months were precious. When she sadly passed away in February, I realised just how fleeting life can be. That’s when everything shifted for me.

I made a decision to start living on my terms. I wanted to build something meaningful, flexible, and fulfilling—not just for myself, but for others too.

Now, I’m on a journey of growth and rediscovery. I’m still evolving, still learning—but one thing is certain: I absolutely love helping others to believe in themselves. Whether it’s through mentoring, coaching, or simply listening—I hope to empower as many people as I can to explore their own potential and take that brave first step toward something new.

Because life really is too short not to try.

Before joining the travel business nearly two years ago, I worked in retail and hospitality. Growing up in a family of six, I didn’t get to travel much — I only began exploring the world at 18. That’s when my passion for travel really took off.
I started my travel business because I was already travelling solo often and saw the opportunity to save and even earn money from my own trips. Since then, I’ve helped others plan unforgettable holidays while creating amazing experiences of my own.
What I love most is the flexibility — being able to customise dream vacations for my clients and work on my own terms. I’ve grown so much personally and professionally, with support and training from a community of independent agents.
I once dreamed of being cabin crew, but due to epilepsy, that wasn’t possible. This business gave me a new path — one where I can still be part of the travel world, on my own terms.
To anyone thinking about starting: the costs are low — even less than your daily coffee habit — and the freedom, flexibility, and rewards are worth it. If you love travel, this is an opportunity you shouldn’t miss.
